Costume and Accessory Information
General Information:
**Please do not allow your child to play in costumes. We cannot replace them! Try them on and then hang them up. Short Tutus should be hung upside down so they can “fluff” out.
**Ballet shoes must be pink with elastic sewn in – NO HOUSE SHOES!
**Ballet Tights – must be classic (or ballet) pink. This color is much more neutral and flattering to any color costume. Please be sure and buy your tights from us to insure that you get the right color.
**Be sure to put black elastic in tap shoes! Black elastic was supposed to have been put in at the beginning of the year. If you haven’t done it yet, please do it BEFORE dress rehearsal.
**If there are any sizing issues, you must let us know right away!
Tues Eve Kinder:
Tap: Bussel Tutu across behind. White lace top socks, black tap shoes/black elastic, shoe bows on elastic– pink headpiece in hair.
Ballet: Tutu around hips. White lace top socks, pink ballet shoes/pink elastic – pink headpiece.
Jazz: Shorts over bodice. Pink ballet shoes or black jazz shoes – silver headband in hair.
**Nude tights are optional. Hair can be worn in any style as long as it’s not in the child’s face or distracting to her.
Thurs Eve Kinder:
Tap: Bussel Tutu across behind. White lace top socks, black tap shoes/black elastic, shoe bows on elastic– feathers in hair.
Ballet: Tutu around hips. White lace top socks, pink ballet shoes/pink elastic – feathers in hair.
Jazz: Fringe Skirt pinned around hips, pink ballet shoes or black jazz shoes – feathers in hair.
**Nude colored tights are optional. Hair can be worn in any style as long as it’s not in the child’s face or distracting to her.
Thurs PreK

Tap: Black tap shoes with black elastic, headpiece. (nude tights are optional)
Hip Hop: Black jazz shoes, white low top socks, headpiece in hair.
Ballet: Pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes/pink elastic, headpiece in hair. (crisscross and pin straps tightly)
Acro I: Jacket provided over biketard, no shoes or socks (footless nude tights are optional.)

3-5 Grade:
Jazz I: Nude tights, Black jazz shoes, hairpiece.
Jazz II: Nude tights or low top white socks, Black jazz shoes, hairpiece, arm bands.
Tap: Nude tights, black tap shoes/black elastic.
Ballet: Ballet pink tights, pink ballet shoes/pink elastic. Headpiece and choker.
Hip Hop: Black jazz shoes, black low top or no socks. Nude tights are optional.
Acro IIA & B: no shoes or socks – nude footless tights are optional.

JH & HS
Tap: Black tap shoes.
Ballet: Pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes/pink elastic
Pointe: Pink ballet tights, ballet costume, pink pointe shoes/ribbons/elastic
Jazz: JH -Black jazz shoes. HS – Black footless tights, paws.
HipHop: Bright knee socks, black jazz shoes
Acro III: No shoes or socks – nude footless tights are optional.

Stage Rehearsals – Saturday June 7th:
**All stage rehearsals are held at the Lake Charles Civic Center, Rosa Hart Theatre. Please wear studio leotard to stage rehearsals**
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: 1st – 2nd Grade Tap, Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Hip Hop, Ballet (in this order)
10:30 AM – 11:30AM: Acro I & Acro IIA & B, Acro III (in this order)
11:30AM – 12:15PM: 3rd – 5th Grade Jazz 1, Jazz 2, Hip Hop 1, Hip Hop 2
12:15 - 1:00PM: 3rd – 5th Tap, JH Tap, HS Tap

Please have your child bring all shoes in dance bag up on the stage during stage rehearsals so she doesn’t have to return to the auditorium each time we change shoes. Please be on time as we try to stay as close to schedule as possible. It is of the utmost importance that your child attends all rehearsals, as it is the final chance to polish and get spacing, etc. Please do your best to have your child there and let us know if you have a problem with transportation. For stage and dress rehearsals enter the auditorium through stage door located at the south end of the Civic Center. **Parent packs will be available for pick up beginning June 1st** You must have this to gain entrance at the Civic Center so be sure to pick this up!** Reserved seating goes on sale May 15th **

June 8th, 2008 PreK Show - 2:00 PM / Gala - 5:00 PM
Please remember that videotaping is not allowed during the recital. You are welcome and encouraged to video your child during dress rehearsal, but taping of the actual show is strictly prohibited. Please respect this simple rule. If you would like to purchase a DVD of the actual recital, you may order one by signing up at the front desk beginning May 19th. The cost is $35 and payment must accompany order. These may be picked up any day during fall registration.
We will once again offer pre-sale roses for those of you who wish to present your child with a rose, or roses, for her special performance. The forms for this will be on the counter May 19th. Orders must be pre-paid and will be available for pick up at the Civic Center the day of the show.

Summer & Fall Info:
Summer Programs:
We will offer summer preschool classes as well as a summer cheer/tumbling class taught by two MSU Cheerleaders. We will have Los Angeles choreographer Ginger Broussard returning to teach an advanced jazz/hip hop and technique workshop as well. That schedule will be given to you June 1.
Fall Registration:
Returning students may register any time between June 1st and July 4th. We do not accept new student registration until the Tuesday after July 4th when open registration begins. If you wish to guarantee your child a spot in a certain class you need to register early. Once open registration begins all classes are first come first served.

**We will move children accordingly during the first few weeks and months of class. Remember, it is always better for us to need to move your child up than to have to move her down. Please place her as recommended and we will move her as she advances and progresses.

Fall registration for new students begins Tuesday, July 8th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and will be held each Tuesday and Thursday until the end of August. Returning students may register June 1 – July 7th.
