Pre-Sale Recital Tickets

As you know our recital is free to the public and we encourage you to invite all of your friends and family.  This year, however, we will sell reserved seating for the first 4 sections of the civic center to avoid some of the problems we’ve encountered the past few years.  The tickets will go on sale May 1st and will be $5.00 per seat.  If there are any seats left, they will be $7.00 at the door.  All other seats will be free as always.

Quick-Change Seating

Only parents with more than one child in the same show and/or a child that is in more than 2 classes will be given an assigned seat in the “quick-change” section of the theatre.

Fill Out All Forms on the Counter

There are forms on the counter that must be filled out and turned in by May 1st, to insure your child is recognized at recital and/or included in the program

 Dress Rehearsal

Remember that dress rehearsal on Saturday, June 7  is MANDATORY.  If you miss dress rehearsal, for any reason, you will not be allowed to participate in the recital.  NO EXCEPTIONS

Video Taping

Videotaping of the recital is strictly prohibited.  You are welcome and encouraged to videotape your child during dress rehearsal.  Mr. Sam Acuff professionally videotapes our show each year and sells DVD copies of the actual show for $35.  You may purchase a copy of the actual show by pre-ordering through us.  In order to do this, you must fill out the form on the counter and include your $35 payment for the DVD.  You may post-date the check for June 15th , as no check for a DVD will be deposited prior to this date.  Anyone video-taping during the recital will be escorted from the event.  Please videotape your child during dress rehearsal and respect the rule of “no taping during the actual show”.  We do not want anyone to be forced to leave, but security will be on site to enforce this rule as necessary.

Pictures for Program

Pictures will be taken at the studio  April 25-27. Please make sure to sign up  for your picture time.

Dressing Rooms at Civic Center:

The dressing rooms at the Civic Center are assigned as noted on the posters on the doors.  All dancers are given adequate space to dress and we ask that you dress in the designated area so that all dancers will have room.  Please understand that NO MEN are allowed in the dressing areas at any time.

Green Room at Civic Center:

As always we will use the green room as a holding area for numbers that are on deck.  We run our show as follows:

One number is on stage, the next one is sitting in chairs in the wings and the next one is “on deck” waiting in the green room.  Dancers are moved from one area to the next in a circular sort of fashion.  When the dancers finish their number, they return to the green room to wait for a parent.  This is the way we have run our show since moving to the Civic Center over 10 years ago and we find it to be the safest, most effective and quickest way to run the show.  Our show typically runs very fast.  We move one number after the next with as few stops as possible.  It is for this reason that we must ask you to make sure your child is where she is supposed to be.  Your child should be in the green room 3 numbers before her turn on stage.  We try to be sure everyone is there before we start the number, but we have started a routine and found one of the performers was still sitting out in the audience.  It is your  responsibility to see that your child is in the green room 3 numbers before her turn.  If she has a quick change, (less than 3 numbers between performances) please let us know so we can be sure and wait for her. Otherwise, make sure to be in the green room on time so you don’t miss your turn on stage!

Meeting prior to Dress Rehearsal

There will be a meeting prior to dress rehearsal reviewing all of the particulars for our show and answering any questions.  Please do your best to be at this meeting, especially if you are a first-timer - The information given during this meeting can really help things go much smoother for everyone.    Times for the meeting will be given with the June Class schedule and Civic Center rehearsal schedule.
