CLASSES WE OFFER
Embrace Your Love of Dance
CKDA Rhythm Pirate Dance Team
Our competition team travels and competes in Louisiana and Texas and is for students age 7 and older. Competitive dancing instills discipline and commitment into our dancers that truly lasts them a lifetime. These dancers are held to a higher standard and will learn the practical skills of being organized and responsible. There is a drive to improve from one season to the next that keeps your dancer motivated year round. If you would like more information on our competitive dance team, feel free to send us an email.
Our PreK and Kinder instructors are committed to giving each student individual attention while creating a fun and positive environment to instill in the students a love of dance. We believe that at this age children learn through play and thrive to create a fun environment while also teaching the basics of dance that include stretching, coordination, balance, and musicality.
Our PreK dance classes include tap, ballet, and Acro. Our kindergarten classes include tap, ballet, and jazz. Kindergarteners can choose to add acro to their schedule as well. We’re happy to answer any questions you have about this class or any others - simply contact us by emailing LexiCKDA@gmail.com

BALLET & POINTE
Believe it can be done
Ballet is the most structured class with emphasis on strength, flexibility, proper placement of the body, balance and form. It is the foundation for all other forms of dance, requiring discipline and coordination.
On Your Feet
This class is a favorite among many of our students. Tap is great for learning rhythm and timing of music as well as building strength and coordination.
What if you fly
Acrobatics is a blend of dance and gymnastics. You will build strength, agility, coordination and endurance. Acrobatics is great not only for learning tumbling skills, but it also forces the student to control her entire body and builds strength and control with the grace of a dancer.
Just here to dance
Hip-hop teaches the street style dancing focusing mostly on basic coordination skills and movement while moving your entire body and having fun. Learn to count music, build coordination, and have fun!
CONTEMPORARY & LYRICAL
Like no ones watching
Lyrical is a combination between jazz and ballet. It is a slow moving dance that does not focus on the technicality of ballet. Contemporary is a combination of ballet and hip hop. Both of these classes focus on expressing yourself and being able to understand and interpret music.
TECHNIQUE, STRENGTH, AND STRETCH
Hard work pays off
Technique, strength, and stretch are all classes intended to help dancers push themselves to be better by working on individual skills needed for dance. These classes are very important for taking your dancer to the next level.
CHEER & POWER TUMBLING
If you are interested in cheer we recommend our cheer team, cheer acro/power tumbling, and hip hop classes. Our cheer team teaches the competitiveness of cheer, basic stunts, and cheers. Our cheer acro/power tumbling will build strength and coordination needed for flips and jumps. Hip hop will teach the coordination and counting of music needed for cheer.
